The Art Alliance's mission is to involve more people in the arts. The idea behind this campaign is to help people see that art is all around us and can be a part of daily life, as much as going to the grocery store is. To illustrate this concept, famous works of art were placed in settings familiar to the daily lives and routines of New Yorkers. The hope is that these illustrations, will cause a viewer to pause and take a second look, perhaps bring some humor to the day and then allow the viewer to begin to see possibilities for working the arts into their daily lives. This campaign is specific to New Yorkers, but each city would have it's own version with familiar landmarks and scenes.
